Green infrastructures consist of networks of green and blue spaces that provide ecosystem services, enhance biodiversity, and generally promote the sustainability of urban environments. In industrial cities, these challenges are compounded by additional objectives, such as responding to the challenges of densification, territorial fragmentation, land optimization, environmental impacts, and social cohesion in relation to industrial activities. Furthermore, these green infrastructures also offer opportunities for conversion through the redevelopment of brownfield sites and urban innovation. This seminar will explore experiences, innovative methodologies, and sustainable urban transition projects, with a dozen presentations by researchers and experts from Brazil, Canada, Portugal, Japan, Turkey, Italy, Germany, and France.
